Intellectual Property Disputes
All fees are per party unless otherwise stated. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT. Payment is due in advance by the deadline stated in the booking confirmation. A booking is not confirmed until the required payment and signed mediation agreement have been received.
CMC Fixed Fee Scheme (disputes valued under £50,000)
I offer fees aligned with the Civil Mediation Council’s Fixed Fee Scheme for eligible disputes. Eligibility, current scheme terms, and the applicable fee will be confirmed before the mediation is booked.

Sessions under the scheme for claims of £5,000 or less are conducted remotely. For claims above £5,000, the session may be conducted remotely, in person, or a combination of both.

What’s included
Pre-mediation contact with each party
Review of each party’s position statement and supporting documents, up to a combined total of 50 pages per party. Any review beyond that limit will be agreed in advance and charged at £75 + VAT per hour.
The mediation session
Assistance with recording the terms agreed on the day, where appropriate. The parties remain responsible for obtaining any legal advice and for ensuring that a settlement document is legally effective.
Additional costs
Travel outside London (up to 50 miles): charged at cost
Room hire: charged at cost where not provided by the parties
Workplace and Employment Disputes
Fees are payable by the employer unless otherwise agreed.

* Post-mediation follow-up sessions are intended to support implementation of agreed actions. They do not reopen the mediation or guarantee that further agreement will be reached. Any additional work outside the included sessions will be agreed and charged separately.
Cancellation Policy
This cancellation policy applies to all mediation services.
More than 14 days before the session: full refund or rescheduling at no cost
Between 7 and 14 calendar days before the session: 50% of the fee is payable. Alternatively, the session may be rescheduled once at no additional mediation fee, subject to availability and payment of any non-recoverable costs.
Less than 7 days before: full fee payable; one reschedule permitted, subject to availability
Non-attendance on the day: full fee payable, no reschedule
Cancellations must be sent in writing to the contact address stated in the booking confirmation and take effect when received. If one party cancels and the other wishes to proceed, whether the mediation can continue will depend on the circumstances and the agreement of those involved. The cancelling party remains liable for its share of the fee under these terms.
Cancellation periods are calculated in calendar days from the scheduled start time of the mediation. Any refund will exclude non-recoverable costs already incurred, including venue or travel charges. If I cancel and the parties do not agree to reschedule, mediation fees paid to me will be refunded in full.
